01 Feb Osteosarcoma
The image consists of several large spindle to irregularly-shaped cells (osteoblasts) with an abundant amount of lightly to moderately basophilic cytoplasm that, contains many fine pink granules. The nucleus is large, round to oval, and commonly eccentric replaced, with coarsely stippled chromatin and 1-2 visible nucleoli. Anisokaryosis and anisocytosis are moderate. One binucleated osteoclast is in the center of the image. The diagnosis is sarcoma, very likely an osteosarcoma.
